I have searched a few "Mint Sealed" bags of Nickels from early 1960s. If you can imagine coins being in a bag for all them years, being tossed around from location to location, they were dinged up pretty good from all the movement of coin on coin inside the bag. Nothing better than an MS63 grade due to all the little micro scratches and scuffs. These were $200 face value bags, 4,000 nickels in each bag. I've had better luck buying BU Rolls that perhaps have been in a wrapped for several dozen years and tend to have less ding and more bling.
Ive had better luck with boxes. Penny bags usually give you some extra dimes, and half bags you get all the goodies, like, keys, clips, dollar coins, and finger nail clippings.
