Yikes! We are at 9/20 ... we know the coin is dated after 2003, it is a circulating coin, but not a coin of Europe, Asia or the Americas, and it does not contain a precious metal.
Is this a coin that was issued for circulation in Africa?

That puts Egypt, Libya, Ghana, etc. in play, but not Ethiopia, Nigeria, Liberia, Morocco ...

Is this coin bimetallic?
Also if it is listed on Numista, it is probably dated 2006.

I am assuming this coin can be any metal other than silver and gold. Maybe I read that answer wrong?  I am seeing lots of Egypt coins of many dates in scope (but based on past performance, I really should be careful about assuming anything about the country). |

Ghana, Egypt, and Sudan have coin that fit that I can see. The rest do not.
