Yikes! We are at 9/20 ... we know the coin is dated after 2003, it is a circulating coin, but not a coin of Europe, Asia or the Americas, and it does not contain a precious metal.

Is this a coin that was issued for circulation in Africa?

Was your coin issued by a country of which the majority (land area) lies north of 5 degrees north latitude?

Nice question @Gincoin

That puts Egypt, Libya, Ghana, etc. in play, but not Ethiopia, Nigeria, Liberia, Morocco ...

Is this coin bimetallic?

Also if it is listed on Numista, it is probably dated 2006.

Maybe not I forgot about Gh ANA

I am assuming this coin can be any metal other than silver and gold. Maybe I read that answer wrong?

I am seeing lots of Egypt coins of many dates in scope (but based on past performance, I really should be careful about assuming anything about the country).

That right I think, and we'll know if it is made up of two separate metals or alloys after the bimetallic question is answered. Sudan and Ghana both have bimetallic coins
