People seem to be reading my mind all the time I thought I would do Ghana as it was the first Sub Saharan African nation to gain independence after WW2 (So I am not counting Liberia or Ethiopia) A very grubby penny from 1958. The coin was strange in which Kwame Nkrumah's name and title was in Latin. Coins in tropical Africa always seem to show up as very worn after a few years. The Sterling currency was replaced by the decimal Pesewa and Cedi in 1965 yet this coin looks 20+ years circulation. These coins were smaller in size than British coins too.

German 2 Pfennig - another working class real coin Movinga way from all the deep cameos and high quality silver dollars dominating this thread. Another mediocre photo - I am not a photographer and have a 4MP phone camera. I can not take good photos of worn copper coins. Once we hit the 40s things will improve, but while we head through the 50s, you will have to grin and bear it. Not every photo is bad and yet the critics are quiet when I am showing a high value coin in a sharp shot. I would prefer it if Keith12 kept his cutting comments to himself. His Argetinian peso was hardly a prizewinning shot itself.

But I do try to make sure you can make the coin out. In those 2 Photos I could not. Sorry if I hurt your feeling. I'm use to playing games were we like to give each other a hard time
