Thank you!

Okay, so here are all the finds I have gotten from my work for Lincoln cents. Not too bad considering a portion of my work consists of a hospital cafeteria. Lol.

Thank you!

I found these "finds" today at work as well.

From what I've read, the 2009 coins are somewhat uncommon/rare?
Funny how I just read this recently and found one today.

Pretty gunked up, though...

Also found this... I don't know if it's of any significance or not, though? Weren't there different varieties of materials used in 1982?

There were lower mintage numbers for 2009 because of the 2008 financial crisis. Coin jar dumps flooded the system.

Bummer.

1982 was the transition from 95% copper to copper plated zinc. There are also large and small dates to consider. In total there are seven varieties for circulating cents (there is no 1982-D small date 95% copper).

Yes, the 2009 cents are not all that common. For some reason, they seem particularly prone to unsightly toning and corrosion. If you find a nice, full red 2009/2009-D cent in AU condition, it is indeed your lucky day.

Hmm. I wonder which one that I have!
Large date, for sure. Looks 95% copper. Early plating (1982, 1983) is usually bad and can be seen a mile way. Weight will confirm.

Humanist1287, if you haven't yet, check that 2009 for a DDR. There's tons known for that year. https://doubleddie.com/60701.html

Thanks! Will look into it.

I now have direct access essentially to a cash register at my job. I have found some goodies today that I wasn't expecting.

Always enjoy finding wheat cents. And found a 68 S.

Several more 1982 cents. I don't know which kind they are.
