Nice ones! My 1684 and 1685 contributions had planchet defects, but this one takes the cake, 1679 Poland szostak:   I guess the quality control guy forgot his glasses that day?

I'm still a few weeks from being able to contribute again, but I enjoy looking at this thread every day. All the szostaks (with more or less charming planchet defects), thaler fractions, and various English denominations, wonderful!  But that 1682 ½ thaler takes the prize, tdziemia.

Here is a 6 Kreuzer from Austria (Vienna Mint) dated 1677:   The reddish color in the pictures is an artifact of the poor lighting I used to use.

What a great wildman! That is one of my favorite numismatic design elements. Here is a 6 Kreuzer from one of the Austrian City States (Olmutz). It is dated 1674 AD.
