I'm sure that these have been posted many times, but yesterday I found a bag of change from a visit to the UK, Ireland, and Jersey that had been misplaced for over 20 years. From 1988-2000, Ireland's 1 and 2 pence coins featured stylized birds adapted from or based on letters in The Book of Kells.

IGE, the 2 Pence "bird" is the letter U, according to the Numista listing. And that seems to be a tiny Cud @ 3K - the first I've ever found.

Trinidad and Tobago's 5 Cents from 1976 - 2017 featured a Greater Bird of Paradise (Paradisaea apoda) on the reverse. These birds had been introduced from New Guinea to Little Tobago Island but are now extinct there.

Many thanks! The card is ratty and no COA or box but the coins are fine. A friend bought two of these for me at an estate sale about 20 years ago. She also snagged a 1921 Peace dollar, 1962 Vatican City Second Ecumenical Council uncirculated mint set, 1977 Royal Canadian Mint Double Dollar Proof Set, and a 1985 Royal Australian Mint Set for me.
