GLB, no one was saying that ducks are not birds - of course they are! But that is a common loon on the Voyageur quarter. They are in a different Order than ducks and geese - Gaviiformes. But the internet told me that birds aren't real.  Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

It is, but photographing the coins is a bear because of the plastic wrap. Most of the obverses come out foggy.
