nice coin Hondo, but where is the fruit? Isn't Corn a vegetable, or is it both?

So here is the answer (one that I didn't know) I thought it was a Vegetable:

Quote:

While corn is a fruit when you eat kernels or corn on the cob, if you eat the leaves or the stalk—like cows and other livestock that eat corn—corn would be classified as a vegetable. So, corn can be a fruit or a vegetable, depending on what part of the plant is being eaten.

Thank you, Dearborn! I was expecting that question when I posted the Mexico 10 Centavos earlier. Here is a technical definition (I'm a retired biologist):
Botanists classify corn (Zea mays) as a fruit because the kernels are "the fleshy or dry ripened ovary of a flowering plant, enclosing the seed or seeds".
