Thank you, jbuck.
I noticed that the reverse of the Jefferson medal is slightly different than the others. The arm on the right has a sleeve rather than being bare. Since there is a tomahawk and a peace pipe I assumed that the bare arm represented a Native American.
Since France was our ally I wonder if the sleeve could be part of a French uniform?

I never took any of the medals out of the box until I started taking these pictures so I was not aware of the reverse design before.
