Here's the Half Dollar from the US World War II 50th Anniversary commemorative coin program - a warship is seen in the background (as are landing craft) behind the crawling soldier on the reverse. Much appreciated! One more World War II themed coin - a 50 Pence from the United Kingdom that features a stylized D-Day scene on its commemorative reverse. Several propeller-driven warships can be seen in the design. A "distance shot" of the three D-Day themed coins I've posted here - they came in a three-coin set: Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! (c) commems. All rights reserved.
