If I'm understanding correctly, you purchased 16 coins for $195, which comes out to roughly $12 per coin. Are there any key-dates or error/varieties in this lot? Lets try to make lemonade out of the lemons.

Coin rejector - only 2 semi-key coins from the years 1934 PD - 1939 PDS (the target group I was collecting): 1934 D and 1935 S. The quality of these coins are comparable to those shown in the photos I posted earlier.

If this was bought on ebay, you can initiate a return stating "item received not as described".
No matter what, ebay will side with you (the buyer).

@Blackhawk - Personally I would continue trying to resolve the issue with the dealer. The coins you received were obviously not as described.

Looks like they were found in a camp fire pit. Just buy 3 new vinyl 2x2 flips at 50 cents a piece and send them back to the seller. Also take pictures of them first and what the dealer said they looked like and send a message with all the information to E-bay. They will open a complaint file. Don't worry ,get your money back. If he wants to keep selling on E-bay he will give your money back after you return the coins.

It's been awhile, but I wanted to share what I did with the misrepresented Lincoln pennies and the outcome.

I was so miffed about receiving misrepresented coins, that I filed a credit card dispute with my bank. They advised me to return the coins to the seller/dealer, which I did. After several weeks, my bank ruled in my favor -- I received the full amount of my payment.

So if you believe you have been swindled by a dishonest seller, fight it. Don't let dishonest dealers take advantage of you.

Thanks to all for your recommendations.
