Hungary is only a little ways away from the Baltic Sea. Here is another Denar, this time dated 1538:   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Interesting reverse design @tdz. Who is the second kid? Or is that not Mary with child? I'm in the middle of a Hungarian Denar run. here is one dated 1537.   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

I think there may be three of us with a version of this coin. The 1534 groschen was struck in two versions. One has a high crown and Sigimund wearing the Renaissance "pageboy" hair style (though he is over 60 years old!). This is Giljan's coin, and this one:   At some point in 1534 the style changes to a sort of soft hat under the crown, and no hair showing. I think spence has this one. |
