I've got this Sesquicentennial Liberty Bell watch fob (or whatever it is) that, while not silver, did not cost me $750.

half ounce might be under $100,

But if the Silver Bells are outrageously priced then what word does one use to describe the pricing on the Gold Bells?

It would be a difficult carry: "Is that a Liberty Bell coin in your pocket or are you just glad to see me"?

There's no way I would pay $750 for a 1/2 ounce of silver. The bell looks as if it was a after though. I can see the conversation. Oops I forgot to design that bell. Here this will work. Yes, I'm sure. Don't worry, people will buy anything that we mint. 750? We should charge more it's a collector's piece.

For $750, they could at least have fixed the crack.

You'd think that for $750 they could have been a bit more creative than this.
For $75, I would actually like one.

The absurdity of this will only be outmatched by anyone who actually purchases it. The other bit of crazy belongs to the Gold version at $10,050!

You'd be far better off spending $750 on airfare to Philadelphia and seeing the Liberty Bell in person. Independence Hall (which is proudly displayed on the US $100 note) is right across the street, oh, and, by the way, the US Mint is also right across the street so you could drop in and give them a piece of your mind on this stupidity.

No thanks, I can drive there. With gas what it is, the cost is probably the same.

Thanks mods for updating the subject to reflect both gold and silver, but if we want to be totally accurate, the silver is a medal, gold are coins.

I mean, who wouldn't want a $250 face coin for $19,600?
