Good Question, to be honest I am drifting a bit and will likely sell the South African and Australian notes. I want to seriously collect Fiji, Tonga, NZ and possibly Samoa as well.

I think its price and examples putting me off, I have got very lucky with Fiji though!

Here is my Kiwi new arrivals

1990 Special $10 note in hideous late 80s pizazz style packaging! These notes were commercial entities issued for the 1990 sesqui centenary (150 years as a nation). Was supposed to be a big festival, funfairs and events - turned out the exhibition went bankrupt and celebrations ruined by angry protests.

The back recycles the Treaty signing scene on old 10/- notes from the 1940s to 1960s. Rest is a standard series D note (1980 - 1990).

The hideous notes kept coming in the millienium.

This pair features black and red serial numbers. The red are more desirable, they were souvenirs but also circulated and with these 2 quite a bit. Worth something in UNC state - not so much in wrinkled EF/VF like these!

Will you set the note free or will it remain in the packaging?

Seriously thinking of liberating it, but it would destroy the context sadly.

The cardboard has not toned or age, it was around that time they moved to acid free paper.

BTW - NumisED - I love those Dutch notes, they loved that 1970s graphic art and yet they were doing it in the late 1960s with the Helvetica/Futura bold lettering and usage of shapes (The Dutch have always been avant garde/futuristic - look at the coins of Beatrix and most stamps 1966 onwards).

Have a mountain of Dutch coins, but never got into the notes.

Not quite a banknote but a design in the form of a banknote printed in Czechia to raise money for the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.

You may think that I am repeating myself by posting a Guernsey overprint note, but no its got a different cashier signature.

As I mentioned, the notes that were overprinted were those selected for destruction from circulation. As such there are a number of possible combinations.

This note is one of only 69 known with the Catterns signature and they are rarely for sale so I bit the bullet to buy this one. There are some notes with Mahon signature (no doubt prohibitively expensive) and some notes exist with the pink and blue emergency issue colours (a note I would like to add to my collection one day to create a nice little set)

There are also some variations in the overprint text, these can have september, november and with or without full stop punctuation.

Now that's a nice challenge David! Could well turn out to be "The Quest of a Lifetime"?

I've gone a little balmy. I decided I would get stuck in at auction today, I bought a number of things including a nice error note, a nice white £10, a Bernhard ww2 forgery of a £50 white note and a couple of treasury notes. I also bought a full collection of notes, which I probably paid all the money for (after all I was the top bidder!) and I am gambling a bit that the grades are decent because if not I am going to take an age trying to sell them at a loss. The idea is it will be fun to go through them and I will take any I like, upgrade any of my own I don't like and try to flip the remainder.

Aside from that I also bought a bundle of inexpensive Russian and Ukrainian notes. A couple of examples below...
