I was living in the Netherlands for some (brief) time in the early 1980s and visited the country rather often till the mid 1980s. I had one or two unc 50 Gulden and an unc 250 at some point. However, 50 Gulden and especially 250 Gulden were a lot of money back then. 250 Gulden still is. So, while greatly admiring the notes...they were spent. And yes, I regret that now.
