Hey Darth, just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water......

Post-An-Ike-Eisenhower-Dollar

Not sure how new this holder is and I noticed it is only available in white or black....no blue yet. Also, I see they have the separate 77~78 holder too...again only black or white. Now THIS one would be heavy wouldn't it!

I really like that holder, but it is almost the cost of half the set.

Nickels- yes, I am going to get that holder. But I'm gonna hold out for one to turn up on ebay. Back in May a black one sold for only $32. Jbuck posted a link to wizard coin supply, and they do have the blue one. I'm going for blue. If they had a red one I would do a red, white and blue set. You know, a patriotic spread!

WOW...It would be awesome just to see three complete sets of Ike's...and if they were in CP holders in red, white and blue it would be Spectacular! What a display!

I'll have to admit that I would go for a deal like that too, not $100+ though...can get some nice Ike's for that. Like the complete set of Bicentinnial's that ilikeikes posted. If I wouldn't have had a few already I would have bought that set, just to avoid all the confusion.

A little teaser for jbuck

Most of the Ike$ I got from Russ789
The tubes I had, but the wrappers I got from Doman555

Post-An-Ike-Eisenhower-Dollar

28 tubes + 27 wrapped rolls + 14 loose Ike$ = 1114 Ike$ that Project 100K will see eventually.

Nickels, one note. You said the dealer told you that 76 proof was from a mint roll. Either he doesn't know what he is talking about or he is lying. Proof coins never come in a "mint roll". If they are in a roll they were removed from a proof set and put in a roll by someone outside the mint.

Point well made and taken. What a difference a few days make when you hang around here. Were I to go back there and shop again I feel I would be on level ground with the dealer(s) because of how much I have learned about Ike's and coins in general. I bought several coins that day at that shop and even had two sales clerks showing me stuff and both talking at once and I saw stars and even heard bells I think at one point. I guess they knew they had a live one...but in all fairness to them I'm going to say I was the one that got confused with all the descriptions and such, I did end up with several more plain jane unc Ike's and those were more than likely what they were speaking of. I was on a cloud 9 shopping buzz. Here's what all this boils down to. I am better prepared to go shopping now and that's because of all the folks here, and I appreciate every bit of help and direction I've received. What a great site!
