Get those pics up, Domain.

I shared this '77 error Ike (struck-thru grease) with you guys once upon a time, but I took a new photo with improved lighting. The colors are now accurate, and I do believe the toning has progressed over time. Man, I didn't realize how dull that original image was.

Wow Darth what a difference lighting makes.

What are you using for lighting to draw the toning out like that?

Went shopping this week. Got 1974(P and D) in mint cello, a US Mint 1978 Proof set (for the Ike), and 1972-D PCGS MS65. All should be arriving next week.

The seller of the PCGS graded coin said Tru View pics come with purchase so here is My 1972-D. I can't wait to see this one in hand.

I'm using 5 Jansjo lamps while having the coin positioned closer to the top of the view screen. It allows for adequate light coverage across the entire surface. Nice 1972-D!

You may remember that Ike that Fuzzy sent me for Christmas...

Well, I upgraded his container this weekend. I needed him to fit in with the slabbed Ike set.

Jbuck, thought you might like this recent $9 (!) acquisition...check out the toning on that bad boy. Marion-Kay Summers Model #29 Walnut Dollar Clock. These are somewhat scarcer than the "Last Silver Coins" clocks Mr. Summers built and sold. Seller photos.

paralyse- ummmmm. I kinda don't like you right now. I was prepared to bid on this, but I forgot to place it before going to bed. I also missed out on some good toners on Great Collections, some of which ended with prices below $10 (below $20 after fees + shipping). I love this piece, but the only thing that concerns me is the possibility that the Ike was polished to look shiny for the display and now exhibits secondary toning. Regardless, I was willing to take a chance. My max bid would have been $20. Would I have won?

Could you please take new pictures once you have it? Looking forward to seeing what colors are involved in the toning.

I've looked off and on for over a year to find a nice lovely toned Ike for my collection. I found plenty, but I kept getting overbid. So, I sort of gave up eventually.

But, while searching for SBAs, I stumbled across a couple of lonely toned Ikes. I threw out a low bid on both, hoping to get at least one. To my surprise, I won them both. Figures!

Only four.

But there is a coin show this weekend. Unless I find a good deal on a seated silver dollar or two for the 7070, I should be able to add a few more.

Here's another shot of the 1973-S PR67 that the seller provided. Hope it looks that good in hand.
