Sorry for the questions but when I send it to PCGS, do I put struck on 10cent stock as the error?

It came out of a SMS. Doesn't mean that it is one but we will find out when PCGS gets their hands on it

Wow, very interesting read. Very educational also. My quarter weighs exactly 4.2 grams. So is it safe to say that it was struck on a dime planchet? I think that I will get it slabbed.

Not really sure what happened to this coin. Greaser possibly or just completely got switched out of set and has post damage?

Okay thanks team. Just wanted to make sure since I was getting it ready to send off to be slabbed. For the reverse rotated die.

Not sure but it looks like a DDR to me. This is also the same coin with the rotated reverse.

Yes Marve65, the 1/2 did come out of a SMS set but it is hit or miss on how PCGS grades the coins. I have submitted as SMS and it comes back MS and vice versa. I'm not sure but I suspect that the original owners have taken out some coins and replaced them with other coins.
