I attached a few photos of this 1953 D Lincoln Wheat Penny showing mintmark D/D. The best match I can place markers on is from Variety Vista RPM-002 (stage A). Does this seem accurate?
I know the coin has seen better days but will augment my keep pile for sure if you all agree. And, Someday someone will find my pile and just wonder and create future coin enthusiasts possibly. Thanks for always helping.
Attached are a few photos of this 1960 D Small Date Lincoln Memorial Penny showing what appears to be doubling at the date especially the 9 and 6 (0 too). I went through the resources with no luck matching. Really does not appear to be the small date over large date variety. Also, not really lining up the markers for the strong extra thickness variety. Really looks like a small date over small date possibly? Or, I can be out in left field without a glove trying to match and completely miss. Appreciate the assistance as always.
I'm completely sorry for the last posting. My computer freezing kept me from trying to complete or at least put into draft mode. I did attach the pictures this time of the 1982 Large Date Zinc Penny showing what appears to be extra material on Columns 10,11 and 12 on Reverse. Also, included a picture of interesing look at earlobe on obverse.
Again, beyond feeling like a fish out of water with computer freezing from last posting on this. Appreciate all.
Appreciate the community as always. Ill put in the pile for Dan Grifin along with the other 2. Worth the try. Will keep informed on the 1985 reverse doubling, 1989 D reverse doubling and this one. He did say he would use my 1988D Penny RPM for better pictures later for website. Good, bad and indifferent all have been helpful with making the community stay interested in the coin hobby.
Attached are a couple of pictures for this 2021 Lincoln Shield Penny showing good signs pointing towards Wexlers WDDR-002 more than WDDR-001. The only hiccup is that I can only really tell that the initials LB seem to be thicker not initials JFM (look normal). The markers are there but not pin drop away except the die crack on shield. Do I need to un-fog glasses or should put in pile for checking out further?
Attached are a few pictures of this 2020 Lincoln Shield Penny showing good signs of matching Wexlers listing of WDDR-002. https://doubleddie.com/2516921.html
Possibly could be the first reverse find of these Shield Pennies? If have not mentioned, appreciate people's time and effort to read and respond. Rock On.
Thanks to all from the community. This die chip coin will most likely stay in my keep file. Definitely appears to have some steriod traits. Rock On all.
Attached are a couple pictures of this 1983 Lincoln Memorial penny showing an extra long and large (die chip-expecting) unless there is some other term for this long piece of extra material attached to Column 4 on the reverse. This would not be considered doubling correct? Thanks to the community.
Attached are a few photos of this 2021 Lincoln Shield Penny showing good signs on the Date for a DDO coin matching Wexlers WDDO-007. Very light possible thickness on Liberty showing as well. The first 2 in the Date really appears bigger against other 2021 Lincoln Shield Pennies. Locating that die gouge as reference in Wexlers is tough but there is a couple south of the second 2 in Date. Appeciate feedback as always from community.
Thanks to all. To answer Chris 1974, the die chip is there nice and bright on forehead. I can now do a cartwheel, or just roll around on floor, for answering my non-believer of this extra V out there. Crazy how it just appeared from my Dads pocket change and Ive spent 2 years looking. Again, Rock on...
Attached are a couple pictures of this 2023 Lincoln Shield Penny that are showing what appears to be an Extra V on the Obverse. Did I actually find 1 after 2 years of searching? Fun times.
Attached are a couple pictures of this 1982 Small Date Zinc Lincoln Penny appearing to have some clear doubling on RTY of Liberty. The references seem to be very light in terms of DDOs for the 1982 Lincoln Memorial Penny. Am I missing something or is this possibly doubling too minor or just not doubling at all and my glasses foggy from too much coffee?
Attached are a few photos of this 2016 Lincoln Shield Penny showing good signs of being a DDO with the Date and Liberty. Ive checked Wexlers and Copper coins multiple times. The best one I can show matching is Wexlers WDDO-014. I would attach the link, but again my computer does not want to cooperate. Does this coin seem to be the DDO variety? Can never thank the community enough for giving us the time to look at our requests and answer, Rock on...
Marve65 - Ill wait for NY Islander to answer you on sending forward, but Ive already got 1 in cue to send to Dan Griffen. He told me to wait a month a couple weeks ago. So, I can always ask him if he would accept the 1985 as well. But, I wiill only do after Islander answers as not to step on toes.
