Hello, took some time research. Hope that wording is not completely wrong. Have not yet find reference from another,of these .
This was first year of issue , and some errors do exist, like at least three know examples of monometallic error .
That has possibly occurred at other year(s) also , but haven't confirmed that My self yet.
Acquired this , because so " unusual look "

I studied coin twice in the viewing of Numismatic auction.
There was normal reeded edge with Greek lettering.
Past twenty years or so,, there has been three Finnish coin, with similar error blanc, but they all been at four figure price.
I don´ t know, if it was luck, but this coin was at section misancelous foreign coins , and it did not reach so much attention.
There was no mention anywhere that it was made in Finland.
I think, that was the reason I got it half, of what I was willing to bid upon.
There was six written early bids on it, so it did get more attention than average.
As soon as I have time, ( before 15th of June ) I will pick it up, take photos and ask if some one has precision balance for weighting.
An, Yes, it feels that it has been in circulation for some time, but I personally feel, that it an big bonus.
I mean that, that most of artificial made bogus items like this, would normally be pristine condition ( as far I have seen coin deliberately made from wrong metal, and not accidentally issued )
Sorry, did not read Your text carefully enough. No the coin is clean, bright normal nickel alloy color ( color in catalogue / copied here are completely wrong , as it look color of coin center material. ) I noticed spot You mention on the viewing but it looked jut badly oxidized tiny spot. Have look again. There could of been tiny trade of loose brass debris that have later pealed off , or some one might of try to use drop of mild acid, to find out if the coin has been later nickeled . I´m curious to see, what we can find out. Have seen plenty, like similar errors from Germany, but this is first I have seen from Greece |
