The time has come to begin the process of selling my coins for good. I'm not getting any younger and I don't have any heirs so it seems logical to do this while I'm still healthy.

Your post says you don't have any heirs.
It doesn't say you don't have any heirs that are interested in the hobby.
If you have no heirs at all like your post reads then why do you want to quit?
Go hard until you die and then it doesn't matter.

Kind of morbid.
I wonder why they decided to display something like this.

It must have been tricky for CCCS to grade this coin. Are you happy with the AU-50?

Lucky Duck!
Hooray Hooray
If I'm not mistaken this was the only 1954 issue out of all the denominations with either G.G. Thiessen or J.W. Crow.

What? Why would you want to keep a $100 radar @Hunter?

Five dollar radars are common and boring. Yawn. Sorry Enyaw.

A one hundred dollar radar is much cooler.

wackywater I'm sure you were just very concerned about finance but if you think about it inflation deflates Enyaw's $96 the same way it does my $100.

Or were you criticizing my numismatic tastes?

I have a sneaky suspicion that Robb isn't going to reply but I like seeing toned coins how about posting a picture.

Someone as experienced as you thinking the banknote's design is not fully printed is another perfect example that raw banknotes are better.

You need to have these types of errors certify to protect the note or everyone who handle the note will open and close it

I would be the only one handling the banknote and if I did allow someone else it would be someone who would be careful.

Quote:
there is no serial under the fold, it is on the back of the fold, it what makes this thing cool.

Well obviously, that's why I said you can't admire it.

Quote:
If this note was not certify, it would not reach the price it did

Are you saying they paid $25,000 for a holder, I think not. If I ever wanted to sell it again I'd get PMG to certify it for me and everybody knows their reputation for over grading. It'll probably get a UNC-60 grade and I'll sell it for $50,000.

Quote:
as mentioned there is one big question

CCGS graded it EF45 which is proof there are imperfections on the banknote that could have happened while it was part of a brick or mishandling since but that still has nothing to do with how I would enjoy any banknote.

Too bad this type of error is in a sealed container. You'll never get to admire how the banknote is left without a serial number on the inside of its fold. I think I'd remove it from that CCGS holder.

That's interesting and the first time I heard about an ejection break but you said the 8 was pancaked an ejection break wouldn't squish it right. Also there's no ejection doubling anywhere. I admit it's weird that there's no marks where the missing piece of the 8 is but that ding on the 9 is evidence that something hit your coin at some point.

A chunk of the Rim broke off and it got struck over the Queen, I did a close up of the rim and the break is very smooth. I'm calling this coin the Cinderella coin

Ok I'll be the wicked stepmother. How do you know for sure that's what happened. Couldn't it just be a coincidence that the two marks are similar sizes?

Muahahaha!!! Muahahaha!!!
