New to forum. Will become a member based on my forum experience thus far. A great resource.
I've attached two photos of my 1909-S/S so that I can get an estimated grade. I will submit this coin to PCGS if you feel it would be worth the investment.
My meager experience would grade it a minimum VF but that's why I am asking for your input.
Thank you for your time.

Looks like PCGS might be a good investment.
I have no idea as to what it would grade out to but might speculate.
Does it appear to be close to VF from the photos?

Not a bad find from an old friends small collection.

After two months of looking and asking I believe you hit the nail on the head, (as us old timers say)!

Wixler indicated that the reverse may have a filling of the upper part off the E in E PLU. THE PHOTO IS NOT CLEAR ENOUGH BUT THE UPPER PART OF THE E IS FILLED.
I thank you my friend.
Next question..should I have it graded?
I have no idea of value and don't know if it would be worth it.

I believe you gentlemen are correct after further evaluation.
I added these pic, as bad as they may be, for your further review.

Thank you for your input. Much appreciated.

If you zoom in on the photo you will see an "S" rotated about 45 deg. NE from vertical. Certainly not gunk!
Can you see the "S" under the zero in the date?
Thanks for the reply.

At 83 I'm just getting back into coins, (Penny errors).
I thought this forum would be helpful once I figure out how to navigate it.
The picture is a 1909-S/S RPM-2 with what appears to be an S over stamped by the zero in the1909 date.
Any insight or info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
