Hi, to all:

When I was a young lad, my aunts gave me this blue book filled with a few pennies. It was to collect Lincoln Head Cents. Every time my father would come home from work, I would look through his pocket change. Later in life, I purchased a different book that expanded the dates to 2000. There is when I got interested in error coins.

While I have still not filled in those earlier years nor some of the new ones, I have regained my interest in this hobby. I have been collecting pennies and have quite the stash I need to go through.

My other hobby is Amateur Radio. While one hobby costs me a few cents, the other cost quite a bit more. It averages out I guess...

This looks like an offset die strike. Confirm? Comments?

I will scan the "take a penny/leave a penny" tray when I am at the checkout. I have found some interesting pennies. Of course, I tell the cashier what and why I am doing what I am doing and leave at least the same demonization.

Once all I had was a nickel so, I took five pennies and gave the nickel to the cashier.

I will update this post or a separate post of some of my finds.
