Need Help Indentifying Coin Type And If Real?

This coin was my one of my father's. I have been trying to figure out exactly what it is. I believe its Byzantine but I can not seem to find anything identical to it. Just similar in design (solidus) but nothing that is an exact match. Hoping you all could help me out or let me know if this isn't legit.
