Yes I need to be able to make better pics, but these are deffebtly letter stamped into the coin right at the top of the neck. It's reversed to looking at it from the top down it looks to be an I and an N possibly.
Found another one amongst my new found collection. This one is def well circulated but has an interesting defect which both looks like a deep die scratch across the reverse and one up and down on the reverse which also looks like the extra material was stamped into the coin. Any thoughts. VALUE? Also please check out my last post, still no help yet.
I've been digging as deep as I can and have found very little results except a page on greybook about an O 1889 Morgan that has a die clash of the IN near the neck. Only A handful of these having been found and one selling for 26k. Someone have any advice on this. See pictures, best I could take with my phone.
Hello! James here in Payson, AZ. Recently inherited a coin collection and going through this pretty sizable collection has been fun. I thought I would join since I came across an interesting Morgan that may have some value and looking for some help. Nice to be here! I'll be posting pictures in the other forum of my coin and probably other interesting ones I come across.
