I wouldnt touch it. Itll come out worse than it is. I agree with AA that it looks like a very nice high UNC coin but as he says theyre too common to be worth a great deal.

gEF for me. The 59y is slightly harder than some QE2 dates but isn't that hard to find with full lustre. This coin only has a little bit of lustre, a reverse rim nick and some wear. Still a nice coin but not UNC.

Thats an extremely lucky find so short into your collecting. Well done! Hold onto that one. It took me many many thousands of dollars of 20c to find one.

It almost looks like a filled die but if it is common as you suggest then its a bit odd.

Its been cleaned going by all the hairlines on the obverse. I would put the value closer to $10. Basically worth the silver content.

The 2c in the original post looks original to me. The obverse lettering has some fishtailing where the metal has flowed outwards instead of filling the die.

Looks genuine to me. Its been rimmed. Lustre seems like the right colour. Detail is pretty sharp. Id guess that is going to go for a lot of money!

I also looked into previous sales of these notes a about a year ago and theyre not rare or worth much, just as markn has already made very clear.
