Sounds like a 125% "tariff" (of some sort) has already been added in!

I'd say 64 to 65. Also looks to be a RPM D/D variety, too!

What's the question regarding the pictured coin?

If it's about pictures the coin is slightly out of focus and needs to be properly oriented.

Nice metal detecting find! Congrats!

I'm sure some of the Early American Copper collectors will be here soon to help you out.

As far as conservation goes I have no idea of success rates or if it's even doable.

Good luck!

to The Community!

Looks like some kinda ink smearing occurred during the second printing step. Could have been caused by a wayward ink droplet that found its way on to this sheet of notes being printed before the next sheet fell onto it. This is a very fast printing process and stuff happens! Chances are pretty good that there were other notes on this sheet that were affected by that wayward ink droplet, too.

Kinda neat very minor error in my opinion. Thanks for posting!

(Others may offer a better explanation)

Keep looking!

I believe I would slab it if it were mine. TPG takes all the of the authenticity/grade out of the discussion when it sells. Fewer returns, too. Good luck!

Yes, people do practice their origami skills and return the notes to circulation.

The black ink partial image transfers can occur when notes are wet and subjected to harsh environments. They dry out, are separated and the partial images remain.

If you think it's an error then fIll out a submission form to any of the currency and grading companies and they will be more than happy to take some of your money, grade and authenticate the note for you.

When it gets back frame it, along with the paperwork, and keep it as a reminder.

It is what it is. At least it's still worth 20$ and is still redeemable!

Keep looking!
