Can't see a cud. Looks like part of the design and a normal 10c piece to me. Highlighting the area of concern would be good. And in OZ we do call them cuds.
Great pics QldSandy. You are correct. Hopefully we won't see this called "Spur on N" anymore. But won't be holding my breath!. A spur is something completely different.
Very nice. Lathe lines are not very common on aussie coins. Must be a coincidence, one would assume a lot of grinding would be needed to get rid of the doubling, not sure they could do targeted grinding either with a lathe. Could be wrong though.
You can do your head in trying to make sense of all that detailed stuff. Just call it doubling and move on. I know there are a lot of experts who will tell you to nail down exactly what caused this, but doubt if anyone could say exactly what caused it. Plenty of opinions will do your head in too.
Unfortunately the varieties you mentioned would not add much value to this coin, as it is basically a junk coin. The pics are too blurry to see the varieties, but it is good to see you taking an interest in varieties. Don't get discouraged, it takes a long time to build a knowledge base.
Sad to see a long established and well respected organisation in trouble. It's not as if nothing is selling in these auctions and a lot of other auctions. It is easy to over commit in these tight times though I guess. If you can I would try and ride it out, I'm sure he would try and do the right thing.
It's interesting and sad that when you find something good the immediate reaction is "it might be fake". Although a very nice coin it is one of the least valuable George V florins in high grades and not hard to track down. It looks 100% genuine to me.
Definitely not rare. Most dates have rotations especially "11o'clock", or 1o'clock. Any more would add a premium. Probably scarcer in higher grades though.Would be flat out convincing average collectors it is UNC as the obverse is showing some flat areas not consistent with die fill.
Both your coins appear to be Perth mint(blunt 2nd whisker).Extreme close ups can sometimes make it more difficult, so a pic of the whole coin would be helpful. The blunt 2nd whisker coin should not only be blunt but considerably shorter, which yours are I believe.

People power can vote out governments. Not enough people can be bothered though
When the Mint announce that no more coins will be made and the note printing branch announce there will be no more notes printed, I will sit up and take notice. Until then i'll ignore all the bs that we see all the time and has been going on for years. They are trying hard to make it happen but there is a pushback against this stupid idea. It will never happen in my lifetime if at all.
