Here is an example of a newer find in the overdated W9/8 cents.

An RD14 reverse mated with the more often seen OA1 obverse.

I think that there are "at least" 15 reverses known at this time.

This reverse has a noted repunch in the "O" in ONE.

Does anyone else here have this variety ?

(I can't under stand why they don't hire someone from the area that is in the know of Canadian large cents I think Rob Turner lives close to the PCGS office weather he's interested or has time but someone with knowledge of the Canadian large cent varieties is needed in there grading group.)

Many have tried before including Mr Turner..(his books alone would make it a "no-brainer)

Photos, details and accurate explanations, books, CDN prices and the representative and corresponding coins with detailed matching photos and matching book references .

My feeling is that they can't be bothered at this time.
Canadian coins are still small potatoes to them.. so they add a few (with some mistakes) and crawl along..

Some machinist was having a quiet day,.. and pressed a cent into a slice of "turned or machined" piece of copper pipe while playing with a lathe. IMHO..

Me too! LOL. Guess I had best try for a few more pictures.

I'm really surprised to see those photos from you..

It looks more like a watercolour painting that anything taken with a quality camera.

The photos are a joke if trying to represent what a 65 looks like..

..but that dime is every bit a gem..You just have to take the time to show the fields and true surfaces. ..and then the proper accolades will pour in..

Would the cbc marketplace make a story to get people really fired up.

If the proper authorities are not really interested in shutting the counterfeits out and/or some qualified graders won't do their rightful job, how will a few collectors get to make much of a difference ?

IMO,..Just not enough public interest and not enough money in it,..for Canadian interests that is..

I can't see marketplace touching this at this time..

Definitely MS for me and maybe even a 62,..but for that fine possible scratch across the hair..

Could it be a die crack perhaps ?

Better if we could see a sharper obverse around the cheek and face..

Nice 5 cents..!!

We are drooling all over each other here..

Such nice examples of these RP 9's..and the very best of pics from viper..

The Haxby site does list this PC59-383 RP 9 as a # 6 but PCGS goofed again and placed a T4 on the slab, which is their vernacular for DP9 #4..

Phil310 could possibly add something additional here on this DP9 # 6..

I do have the Haxby PC59-383,..went down to PCGS a while back..

They called it RP 9 T4...AU ..but with Genuine AU Details with rim marks...Too bad they didn't get the T6 that I accurately described to them..

The RP in the C and A of Canada is quite pronounced as mentioned above...

I don't have the F3 ..but one day hopefully...
