One of my favourite coins, always save them when I'm lucky enough to find them.

this is probably a dumb question to people who know but how do they make those coloured coins shown on that page? It isn't like a sticker that peels off is it?!

I got one of the 95 UN 20c a few weeks back, and the other day a royal visit 50c (which I'd been looking for ages to fill the gap in my album for its different obverse)

Thats awesome! My Aussie decimals are complete except for low mintages.. which actually means they're quite incomplete.

I think you could be right about it being scottish. I cleaned it just a little and it looks like it has a scottish lion on the other side.

Cheers for the info! Were there many cities which had mints or only the major ones?

Jays-Dad, how many coins are in your value set?, thats an interesting way of doing it!

I also have them from everywhere, sorted geographically. Strongest areas are (in order from most to least) Australia, UK, France, Germany

thanks for the info! I didn't have any ancient coins so this is pretty amazing having these coins more than 1000 years older than anything else I've got! What are they made from? Also wondering what does 'AE2' stand for or mean? Is the symbol 'B' between the two figures on #4 a roman mintmark?
I am suprised the half threepence is a coin, thought it might have been a token given how small it is.

Someone who likes maths put those sets together.. with the rows and columns multiplying to get the coin value.

What is this coin? 1982 was the first year of Queen Beatrix's coins so I thought it might have something to do with that but I can't see it listed. It is the same size as the 5 gulden which came out in 1987. Is it even a coin at all or some sort of token?

By the way, some of these coins have small KN and H mintmarks. I just realised when I got my Krause the other day, and some of the coins I thought were swaps actually had this different mintmark.

Sap, does the same year ever have different privy marks? Such as in your example, 1969 with fish and 1969 with fish&star
