Quote: I am quite impressed that you know the equipment being used at each mint, per year!
That leads naturally to the question: how common is a misaligned anvil die?
Inquiring minds would like to know more about the Denver 2000 die setup. Might want to update Mike Diamond as needed. Thanks, Doug. |

makecents - interesting observation. I currently don't see an example of liberty showing under Wexler's WDDO-005. Maybe I missed it.
I do see the slope on B and R on WMDO-001, as well as WDDO-009, WDDO-014, WDDO-018. Note many listings start to finish do not include liberty as markers. Thanks, Doug. |

Quote: Coins rubbed with mercury will have a bright shiny mirror-like finish. How do I know? Friend's dad showed us how to make our steel LWCs look like new again back in the early '70s. Are you suggesting they would look the same today? Thanks, Doug. |

Quote: What do you suppose they plated it with? I doesn't look like silver. Al maybe? Zinc...but why, lol. I thought it looked kinda zinc-y. Hard to tell, but you might add rub with mercury to the list. Thanks, Doug. |
