Quote: I'm surprised by the positive responses. In the after photos I see hairlines that run on the obverse from WNW to ESE on all the high spots and in the open, centers of fields. None of these hairlines are in the fields immediately next to Lincoln. Isn't that usually evidence of clearning? I've had coins rejected as "cleaned" for fewer hairlines than that.
That's just circulation wear, completely normal for a VG. If all those hairlines existed on an uncirculated coin; however, it would probably be from a cleaning.
Don't zoom in your phone to 5x power. You will always get blurry images. Zoom in somewhere between 1x and 2x and then just crop the picture when uploading. Also there are shadows/dark areas in these images. Need more light, but not so much as to wash out the surfaces.
Wow, this is a tough one. I don't see any wear on the obverse. The eagle on the reverse is weak, probably just the strike. So I think it's MS, but I see no luster from these pics. Would be interested to see slab pics.
