I'm a little jealous of you all that got in on the uncirculated version. I am all set for the proof and RP versions, but opted out of this one. I think I am still ok with my decision, but it is fun to see everyone excited about this release! And great to see that there was not a huge chaotic web site overload with the mint.

The Rwandan African Wildlife series 1 oz silver coins come in what seems to be vacuum sealed plastic. Comparing those left in the sealed plastic to those that were removed and put into an airtite, it definitely makes a difference. The sealed coins look exactly the same as they always have. Those in air totes have started toning around the edges.

I apologize if it is too soon to discuss things, as I certainly mean no disrespect.
Does the Royal Mint continue minting coins with QEII on them or do they stop? What is the process for transitioning to the new monarch on their coinage?

I'm happy to share the name of the shop, but unsure about our rules to prevent advertising in the forum. The email was from one of the more well known shops, though, so you can probably find it if you search the common ones.

I just got an email from an online coin supply shop that Dansco albums are back in stock. It said that they have gotten past all of the issues that had prevented them from producing (flood, moving states, etc) and are now again producing. The website carrying their albums even shows 7070's in stock. Maybe I'm the last to know (it happens sometimes), but I thought it was newsworthy.

And just like that, they are back to "processing". And the charge is now on my card.

Mine also went from "processing" to "back order". After a 3 month preorder period, I kind of expected that things would actually ship on April 27th or within a couple days after. I don't know what is going on at the US Mint. I am trying to be patient, but my card may expire before they ship if it takes too much longer.

I got the privy marked proof dollar with no issues. I've gotten so used to the craziness of the US Mint website during the big rushes (like Morgan and Peace fiasco of 2021), I was shocked by how quick and painless that was. In and out in under 2 minutes.

I am planning to try to get the half dollar and the privy dollar. Although the mintage is low, maybe the limited interest will work out so that anyone wanting one can get it if they are quick.

With the limited mintage on the medal set and the privy proof (15,000 and 20,000, I think), does anyone think these will be difficult to get tomorrow?

Against popular opinion, apparently, I am a fan of these and plan to buy. But I haven't yet decided which one - proof, proof with medal, or proof with privy. The limited mintage is attractive, and the medal looks pretty sharp, but the price is not great.

I made it to my first show in about 2 years today and was able to make some trades to finish my set. A straight trade of my D Morgan for the P I needed. And then I sold the other extra D and S for 120 each. Maybe I could have gotten a higher price for them online, but I'm happy to not have to pay any fees.

Great coin in great condition! That reverse is iconic, but I really like the George V obverse also.

I would have to say commemorative, not a continuation. Reason is because they are limited mintage, not intended for circulation and are being produced in commemoration of the 100th anniversary, not as an intended medium of exchange.

My peace dollar, the final shipment of the 100th anniversary coins for me, is supposed to arrive today. I feel like I'm holding my breath. After such a long and crazy process from the start back in May until today, it feels a little like coming up on the finish line and hoping everything can just hold together (no shipping problems, no scratched up coins, etc) until you get there.
Anyone remember that scene in the original Star Wars when one of the pilots is getting close to being able to shoot and blow up the Death Star? "Almost there.. almost there.." .

I guess I was hoping for some link that I had not heard yet. I have no problem with people or companies making money, but it's just disappointing to see it happening in such a blatant "money grab" kind of way. It's like having one artist sign another's painting, or a baseball player sign another players card - it just doesn't sit right with me.

I saw a separate topic here that included a photo of a 2021 Morgan, graded and slabbed with a label bearing Mercanti's autograph. I'm used to seeing his autograph on ASE's and Australian Wedge Tailed Eagles, both of which included his designs.

Is there a reason he would have some connection to the Morgan dollar design or these 100th anniversary reboots? Is there some other reason for his signature on the label?

When they were being issued, I would get the presidential dollars from my LCS. I haven't used vending machines in awhile, so I don't really have any other options.
I collect the innovation dollars now, but I get those straight from the US Mint.
