I've moved pretty much my entire collection over to Airtites and CAPS albums. I really like the way they look and the ability to customize pages. The only downside I see is that albums are relatively bulky and take up lots of space. I've gotten most of my supplies through Valley Coin. No complaints about wait times and communications from me. Sorry you had trouble JoeVet |

I agree - this one doesn't look right to me either. The details in the eagle seem wrong - why is the snake so fully struck yet some of the adjacent feathers seem worn? The liberty cap is weirdly outlined as well. Some of the lettering also seems off. I would steer clear of this one. |

Welcome to the forum! Building some modern sets from coin roll hunting would be economical and fun. Jefferson Nickels are pretty easy. With some patience, you can build a whole set from circulation, although you might want to buy the 50D and silver issues. Roosevelt dimes are also easy post 1964 and the silver issues aren't too pricey. A 7070 would also be fun but take your time with it and get the best quality coins you can afford. Good luck and have fun with whatever set you decide on. |

I really like this idea. Iv'e thought about doing something similar over the years but always had trouble visualizing how to put it together. I really like the idea of combining the chart with the actual coins in a frame. Thanks for sharing!

Nice coin. As has already been stated, it's from the Culiacan mint (see the Cn mark between the denomination and the date). The assayer was JO. This coin is circulated and probably only worth melt. You can check if there is much collector interest but looking at completed sales on eBay. I think that $45 retail is a bit high. Around here you can easily get AU or low MS examples for $35-40. Still, it's a nice example and if you're going for one coin from each of the branch mints, it's worth hanging on to. |
