Variety Vista has listings for BAR Nickels. There are some listed for 1963 D. I tried to paste the link but couldn't get it to work in this post.

I was looking through a small batch of coins owned by my daughter-in-law and this one was in the bunch. Appears to have a rim cud under the "72" of the date and a possible pre-cud or crack through the base of the "2" of the date. Comments appreciated.

I was out of town working in Houston, Texas last week and had a little time to visit a nearby coin shop. I picked this one out of a box of coins that were in 2X2's.

This variety was previously listed in the Cherrypickers' Guide Fifth Edition as FS-501 but is now FS-902 in the Sixth Edition. PCGS still lists it as FS-501 on their price guide, not sure what would be on the label if I got it slabbed.

I have checked Variety Vista, Wexler and CRDieVarieties but can't find a match. Any ideas? Are there other resources out there for quarters?

@Errers and Varietys, the coin appears to be well struck but the dies may be wearing out a bit

@Bump111, here is a closeup of the "S", I am not seeing a defined serif atop the S

Just trying to verify if this is reverse of 1938 and what the grade might be.

Got this one at a coin show in San Antonio, Texas. I was thinking about sending it to PCGS for grading but was hoping to get CCF opinions on grade first.

If it were pre- strike wouldn't the obverse show weakness in that area? Just thinking out loud.

Nice! Did you check for RPM? The mint mark is a little fuzzy in the photos but position appears close to RPM-002. probably just my eyes

Got this on eBay this past week. I did not see the RPM in the sellers' photos. When I received it, much to my surprise it was RPM-001!

Obverse Stage A: Small die chip (dot) right of the 9 in the date about one-fourth up from the bottom.

Reverse Stage A: Vertical die scratch inside the O of ONE closer to the right.

Not seeing MPD, date position looks incorrect for FS-301 (Snow-2).
