It looks like an attractive coin, but I don't think that holder is doing it any favors. If a lot of those marks over the face are on the holder, I would consider taking it out—it's not adding any value.

Based on the spacing of the 9's, it can't be a 1909. Looks like a 1919.

I guess you have it narrowed down to 12 years, but I'm not seeing anything that would help identify the date.

If you assume the top of the third digit is a 1, it's too close to the 8 to be an 1811. So that leaves 1814, and the date position may match JR-4.

Nice coin and grade! PCGS and CAC evaluated the coin in hand, and it would be hard to claim they were both wrong after just viewing photos.

Yeah, I don't see any hint of a VDB from the photos. The mintmark location and slant is an exact match for the S-VDB mintmark position #3, and it also has the raised dot in the upper loop of the S. But I suppose they could have used that same obverse die for some 1909-S coins as well.

I'd say VG-10. I wonder if the lam and/or planchet defect affected the strike on the left reverse?

I'd say VF details. That notch is definitely PMD, not a clip. Check that reverse carefully for any trace of a VDB.

Nice photography! Better than the original pics, especially with your edge photos. Here's another thread from several year showing the use of a flashlight reflector to take images of the edge. I tried that a few years ago with suboptimal results. I don't recall seeing any reed markings on the edge of my lettered edge bust halves before. Not sure what that's from. They look pretty close together to be from a standard reeding process. Maybe post-mint?

I'd say VF-20, agree it looks like a woody. I would use whichever photo looks more accurate to the coin in hand.

Agree with VG details from the obverse gouges and scratch.

I'd say MS-62, mostly due to the impaired luster and tiny hits on the obverse.

Agree with O-105. I'd say AU-55, although the reverse scratch might detail it.

That's some wild toning! The chatter behind the head might keep it from a 65, but otherwise not many marks and a stunning reverse. I'd say MS-64+.

The obverse photos look like the same coin, but one is rotated slightly. This one also looks authentic, mintmark position #4, obviously harder to see the VDB, but it looks okay to me. The hit on the date is in an unfortunate location, but I think it would also pass for a straight VF-20.

Clearly a genuine S-VDB, mintmark position #4, and has all the correct markers (dot in S, shallow N, and VDB looks right). Nice coin! The second photo is the same coin as the third photo, but the lighting must be obscuring the VDB somehow. I'd say VF-20/25, and I think the small gouges on the obverse would pass.

Another very attractive Morgan! I'd say VF-35 on this one.
