Just found this in a lot of foreign coins today. Only 17mm.

THE WORLD'S INDUSTRIAL AND COTTON CENTENNIAL EXPOSITION NEW ORLEANS

From Wikipedia

The World Cotton Centennial (also known as the World's Industrial and Cotton Centennial Exposition) was a World's Fair held in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States, in 1884. At a time when nearly one third of all cotton produced in the United States was handled in New Orleans and the city was home to the New Orleans Cotton Exchange, the idea for the fair was first advanced by the Cotton Planters Association. The name "World Cotton Centennial" referred to the earliest-surviving record of export of a shipment of cotton from the U.S. to England in 1784.

Anyone have a copy of the Wagaman Indiana token book. I would like to date this piece. It's very similar to TC-475063 except that one does not have S.G. Adams on the reverse.

I have to say I don't see any difference between these and a Chinese fake. Maybe someone can convince me otherwise.

Purchased this at Goodwill. Always amazes me what people donate to them.

Here is another one that we will never know the story for but it's fun the speculate. This is on a 1752 half penny and HMB may stand for ""His Majesty's Bark".

"His Majesty's Bark Endeavour," also known as HMS Endeavour, was a British Royal Navy ship, originally a coal-carrying ship named the Earl of Pembroke, refitted and commissioned for Lieutenant James Cook's first voyage of discovery to Australia and New Zealand from 1769 to 1771.

Found this in a foreign lot today. Unfortunately we will never know the whole story behind it but apparently someone brought it back from World War I.

This appears very simliar to Tokencatalog # 122006 which is for a William Wallace (not that one) who ran a saloon in Llano, Texas in the 1890's. Could this be for the same place?

From the same lot as the Oswald token. I have not been able to find another example, unlisted in Tokencatalog.

Found this today in a lot of foreign coins purchased on Ebay. According to Tokencatalog Mr. Oswald ran a saloon in Kansas City in the early 1900's.

I think you are correct with 106a. The die crack about states seems to match other examples online.

Thanks for your help

I have been trying to identify the Overton number for this half and I have to admit that I'm lost. Thoughts?

I think you are correct that the design is a TO monogram. I did not catch that.

Additionally it appears the Tuck On Tongs were a rather violent group. From further in the article.

"The leader of the Tuck on Tongs was convicted some time ago of murder, and the members of the society incorporated with the Check On Tongs."

Another thought, it appears that tongs were into gambling, could this be a gambling chip or token?

Hmm, I was seaching for 1920's Shanghai references to "tuck on" based on SAP's idea and did not find any but I did stumble upon this from the July 19, 1882 Watertown (WI) Republican newspaper.

"An incident happening recently in the Chinese theater on Jackson Street illustrates the celestial mode of "sitting upon" an actor. The members of Tuck on Tong Society visited the theater and hurled cobbles and stones upon the stage."

Could this be a Tong coin, almost like a modern challenge coin. Is there such a thing?

Just found this today.

Southwood, Louisiana - Mount Houmas Plantation Token. I'm not sure what time period this is from but it appears to be scarce.
