I'll throw out a wild guess to say your 2-feather is likely a 1916. Seems I see just enough of the date to make that prediction. Plus, 1916 is a very common 2-feather date.

Beauty! The only distractions I see are something on the jaw area and the spot above "LIBERTY". MS65 sounds reasonable.

Pretty Morgan! I will also say MS65 because of the hits over the eye and on the neck. Appears to have a nice cameo contrast, but my guess is that it has had a bath or two in the past based on the photos. If there is more luster than apparent, it might make PL.

I'm completely shocked by the grade reveal! And with a green bean no less. Obviously, PCGS and CAC see something here that I do not. Admittedly, I'm no authority on the 96s Morgans, but SF coins are generally known for sharp strikes.

This looks like a very nice example. I'm somewhere in the 20-25 range.

I agree that the marks on Liberty's neck are certainly reed marks from contact with another coin during minting. A very common occurrence. Any clashing would be seen in the fields in front of the neck - not on the neck. See the image below from VamWorld for reference.

That is a wonderful Lincoln cent! Not only a semi-key, but a very nice woodgrain to boot. I like it.

What a great tie-in for post #11111! And a nice note to boot. Is that in your collection?

Hard to grade coins of that quality from photos alone, but that does look over-graded. Very nice coin still!

Agree and agree. As nice a classic business strike Morgan as I've seen, but I do think the grading is high by one point. I'm not a fan of the toning, personally. Taking market grading into account, I'd be at 68+/* on this one.

Please check out this Isabella Quarter. I'd like the experts opinions on authenticity and grade. These are seller's photos. Thank you!

Beautiful coin! I'd say somewhere in the VF range as well. I think PCGS may have bumped this to 30-35 based on the date/mm.

That was fun! Thank you for the contest and congratulations to the prize winners. It was interesting to see coins running the gamut from that beautiful Hawaii commemorative to my mangled 41S Lincoln.

From what I'm told, this is the first one that has been up for public auction. There are others out there, including the discovery coin belonging to an acquaintance near Raleigh, NC.

I've purchased from them in years past (when I used to buy silver regularly.) They are close enough to my house that I can drive down to Pinehurst and pick up directly. Great folks to work with back then. Perhaps I should give them another visit!

The especially smooth obverse is unusual, but I might take a chance if the price is right and there are return privileges. '03O is expensive in any grade. I think it's safe to say that any Morgan this clean has been treated in some way, but the reverse doesn't look bad at all. If anything, I'm afraid that the obverse photo has been "edited."

AWESOME FIND! I'm very happy for you. Years of searching have paid off big time. And as for little LJ - special people like him make the world a lovely place. Prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery.
