But given it's a packaging error, and not the coins themselves...no premium value. Basically a premium exists in mint sets only if the coins are high grade or if the coins have errors that would still be errors outside the mint packaging. |

I have a number of proof sets from the 90s and 2000s, both silver and clad, that I couldn't give away at 25% back of bid. Bought them in an estate, and would be hesitant to give much more than face value (or melt for silver) for proof sets ever again. I am buried in them. Started off with about 50 of them, and made it down to about 15 left after selling most of the others at 25-40% below dealer bid. |

"Becoming active" - is not likely, but coming around once in a while is probably likely. I have learned that my ASD makes me unable to interpret a lot of social cues, and that causes issues. I prefer the drama free way.
CrazyB0 - I live in Florida - Bradenton. Bay Pines VA clinic.
Buddy - 200. And I could have had 1,000 more. Some guy used his stash to buy an ounce of gold from a friend.
Steve - They are all 1963B. Regarding value - not sure. I bought them at face. Figured I'd offer a set of five in avg. circ for $7 over in the FB groups and see what happens. Probably 50 of them here I will just spend, hoping someone finds them and starts a collection because of them. |

Coinfrog - the place where bad people reportedly go.
John1 - Basically depression, PTSD, and other war related issues and a case of autism spectrum disorder didn't work together well at all and made my life - that place where bad people go. I wasn't fit for human interaction for a long time. I have since found the VA, found my bearings, and am medicated and counseled, so I am doing quite a bit better than I had for years. |

I was called in from afar to take a look at this thread.
Without question this coin is a fake, and not a very good one. Comparing individual elements, such as the initials and the mint mark is kind of irrelevant when the entire reverse is completely wrong for the issue. That sharp inner rim - doesn't exist on real coins. The design elements don't come close to matching up with a real coin.
1. The wheat stalks are a bad copy of the real thing. The ends of the lines at the top are not correct, the grains are not the right size or shape.
2. The letters of ONE CENT are horribly wrong. They are crude and rounded off in relief. The real coins don't look like this at all.
3. The O in "OF" is badly misshapen, again showing this to be a crude copy.
4. The entire reverse design is very flat. Real coins have a dish-like appearance, especially close to the rims. This aids in striking up the design properly.
It's all wrong, and the more I look at it the more I find that's wrong. |

Something I'm not getting here. The coin is heavily damaged and people are saying they would keep it. It's worth its weight in silver. There are far better coins out there for the date that are not heavily damaged. I'm just not seeing the reason for the interest factor in this. |

My website, coppercoins.com, will eventually have good, accurate pricing, but for now the values listed are for the most part inaccurate. Instead of changing the code I do have, I am rewriting the site from scratch, and will have much more accurate regularly updated pricing then. (Probably 2-3 months from now, if not a little more.) |

This coin would be reasonably impossible to create outside the mint and fool anyone who has ever seen one before. And Coop properly said what it is. This is not an off-center strike.
And the idea that you get these commonly from co-workers and that they are readily located in change (as it sounds from the posts) is quite a task considering I have been through millions of Lincoln cents in my lifetime and have NEVER found one.
These are not "rare" - but they certainly are NOT common. |

This is an RPM. Whether it is #1 I cannot say without examination, but it looks right from the images. There weren't very many dies used in San Francisco in 1919, so my guess is that you probably have 1919S-1MM-001. I have found ONE of these in circulated grade in the 30 years I have been studying the Lincoln cent. They are not common. |
