I still don't see where the '7' is, or have any idea what the 'Snow' variety is... If someone could take the time to enlighten me, I'd appreciate it! (highlighting the '7' might help!)

I don't even use those--just regular old paper & clear tape. Just make sure not to tape over the bar code if you're using Usps. UPS doesn't care...

Still quite odd that the obverse would be inverted while the reverse isn't...

You beat me to it, Joe--was just about to post that link.. I see there's a coin listed on Ebay right now as a Type 2, which IMHO in no way COULD be a T2. No wonder it's been bid up to a dollar--lol.

Thanks Rick,

I's just curious as to how the contact marks/scruffiness of the coin would effect the grade. Knowing of your knowledge with Lincolns helps immensely as well--in other words, I hold your opinion in very high regards. I have little knowledge of actual grading, but would like to learn more--I just have very little time to do so. Being a Realtor really cuts into the time every now and then. Thanks again!

scoutjim, that's a fake PayPal/Ebay website. If indeed it sends you to 'PayPal' or 'Ebay'. I've received numerous fake emails like this--the best thing to do is forward it to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com

If you run your pointer over the link to Ebay/PayPal, or even click on it, the actual address of the website displayed most likely will NOT be the correct one.

Run, run as fast as you can! And don't click on ANY of it!

Just curious, nds, which seller on Ebay is this? I'd like to take a look at his/her feedback to see if this has occurred previously, with other buyers....

Thanks for the info guys, I've pretty much got a good idea of what the difference is between machine & hub doubling; however, there are some instances where it's just not possible (for me) to tell the difference. This happens to be one of them. I'll need to search through the posts and find out what people are using for magnification purposes--I know I read one regarding a computer-ready microscope. This would help me immensely, as well as you, for picture purposes. If anyone knows of any good (yet inexpensive--yes, an oxymoron) microscopes which are computer-compatible, please let me know!

Thanks again for your time!

Thanks guys, I didn't know there actually were DD's for the 97's. I went on coppercoins' site and couldn't find any... Does anyone have a pic of the doubled ear? Or the other DD? Again, I'll try and take some better pictures asap--I'm pretty sure of what machine doubling is, but just can't tell without taking pictures through the loupe.

Thanks again!

Don't have a clue on this one--just noticed it tonight, and it definitely looks like a double. Hard to tell from just one pic, I need to stop by toys-r-us & snag one of those microscopes! lol--soon.

The whole "In God We Trust" appears to have doubling (in-hand, of course). Will try to get better pics soon!

I like the way the auction states "1 Certified MS66 Morgan Dollar"... certified by whom, exactly? Another one-man grading service? I see the picture of the Morgan they have on there is certified by NTC. I know if I had that many certified Morgans, I'd be showing a PCGS or NGC MS66.. and not just one picture..

Had a post awhile back about these, I just never (I don't think) uploaded close-up pics.. A 1943 Lincoln, which is icy-blue, with mirroring... Also a 1942 Jefferson Nickel which appears to be proof-like, but lacks detail on both sides. Let me know what ya'll think, please!

It sounds like the seller just chose the wrong option--he should have chosen 'Other' for reasons to mutually withdraw. Seems like a simple mistake on his part, but I can understand where you're coming from--I returned something I never received...hmmmm..
