| Indeed 1996 to celebrate the golden anniversary of the King's accession. You have the 1 baht and they are fairly commonly found in change out here. |

I would guess that the notes featured and the links are modern reproductions rather than counterfeits.
The original ones don't have the large red overprints to the left and right on the face or the 'serial' numbers on the reverse. |

It's actually dated 1358 (1979) at the right hand side of the line just above the signatures. Yours is the second signature variety (catalog ref. P#57a(2).
These were demonetized in 2002 when the Afghani was revalued 1,000 Afghani to 1 new Afghani. Worth about $1 in unc. |
