Hi,

Found 2 of these and wanted to get some more eyes on it for an opinion. I am seeing possible doubling on the collar.

Definitely need a new picture with the coin removed from the 2x2. Please point out exact where you see the "s".

Merry Christmas Again!

This is the Second DDO of the day I believe. I can clearly see a split on the T in Liberty, however that is where my certainty ends. These are a bunch of DDO's for this year. I am just not sure if this one is listed or new. What do you think?

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I found a couple Kennedys that look to have doubled dies, this is the first. I believe it is a 1974 D DDO-001, however I found it in the wild and not in a mint set. Please take a look and tell me what you think.

I am not an expert but I am not seeing any doubling, I do see what looks like a linear scratch across Lincoln's cheek and a couple of other places.

I am not an expert however that is definitely a large date penny. I am not sure what caused the wear on the coin but it is really beat up.

Hi Coop,

I understood that, I was specifically referring to the indentations on the top bands on the torch near the outside edges. They just seem too lined up with the torch grooves

Thanks Eric

I would guess a small hole was drilled and a bearing/BB was inserted. Looks like a lot of work or boredom.

Hi Folks,

I am regularly finding newer dimes with depressions in the bands on the torch that line up with the outside grooves in torch. I have found it on both sides of the torch and on individual bands. Below are several examples from different coins. Any ideas what is causing this?

Thanks in advance, Eric

I personally don't think anyone ever looks at them at Brinks/Loomis/Guarda, I get way too many foreign coins to believe some one actually looks at them. I think they stay in circulation until they get kicked out of the sorter.
