I'm sure you have a nice new shiny nickle kicking around. Take your cloth to it and then look at it with magnification and see what happens. I'm only encouraging you to do this inexpensive test so you will never ever clean a coin again. |

Assuming the coin is silver (magnet test) you need to weigh it. A fake will almost never weigh the same as the specs given by the mint. I like the hard slabs at CCCS which are reasonable cost and quicker turnover.

Excellent point - so how does everyone feel about Brian Cornwel's collection of ICCS graded coins being sold/or sold at auction? I believe he is the owner. |
