1968 Austria 5 shilling.
At first I thought this was due to damage but when I zoomed in on my photo, the border rim did not look damaged as it reached in towards the center of the coin. It looked like it was made that way. What do you guys think?

I'm sorry this pic is not clearer, however the reason for the post is the second S, it is clearly much smaller than any other 1966 dime. I am unable to find any noted errors matching this. Has anyone seen this before or if it's the only one? Thank you

I can post more pics tomorrow. I was told it was a strike though and I should get it graded. I am not a collector so I don't know the details.

Hello All! Hidden away for many decades in Grandpa's collection are a handful of gold coins. Pictured here are 3 24K coins. Seem to be quite rare. I posted the 1969 Moon Landing coin yesterday and got offers just over melt value.
I just feel like these would be valuable to someone's collection not simply for bullion. I feel it would be a crime to melt them. Any feedback would be appreciated. Do gold collectors only pay bullion value for a coin they want? Also, the last pic is what the "IIS" should look like on the reverse of the JFK 2.5 Ducat coin. The first "I" looks like a possible error on my coin (2nd to last pic). Opinions?

Coinfrog, what would those key dates be? I have a lot of old coins to go through. Thank you.

Good afternoon!
Please see this gorgeous penny, looks even better in person, there is actually much more purple.
Someone posted on here a while ago if rainbow toned pennies and worth keeping and the reply was...Depends if it is a key date. I would greatly appreciate knowing what dates they may be.
Also, any ideas on what this could be worth? Could it be Grade-worthy? It was part of a Proof Set.
Thank you!!

Very New here...hope this isn't a stupid question, but I have never seen this kind of texture under a letter on a coin. The coin is in otherwise great shape and the "T" appears to have been stamped over it. Was this simply a silver clump on planchet? Thanks!
(the "L" is also on a splotch)

Hello All...this is my first post. I'm a newbie trying to research a coin collection. So much to learn here. This is a very nice looking quarter and has a couple (possible) errors. See blue arrows on pics for detail. The 2nd coin is just for comparison. The areas in question are the beak and the "D" in dollar, both on Reverse. I did not see any other questionable areas, but my eyes are new to this. I wouldn't want to waste the money to get a coin graded just based on my curiosity. Most research I have done shows DD appearing in many places, not just a few. Also...any opinions on grade? Your input is most appreciated.
