Strike on some of the dates will be an issue. An extremely hard series to grade. My favorite series to collect. Looks like you are off to a good start. Best of luck.
I think coins should be collected for the enjoyment and not as an investment. If down the road when it comes time to sell and you make some profit, that's great. There are way more avenues than coins to invest in. Collect coins for the fun of it.
I would recommend spending a little on numismatic literature, especially on Buffalo Nickels and Mercs. This will help you make an educated decision and hopefully elevate any regrets or poor purchases down the road.
Sorry for opening an older post. After the coin CACed it bothered me as I felt this coin was under graded. I took the chance and cracked it out and sent it to NGC. It went from PCGS F12 CAC (green) to NGC VF25. Well worth the cost. Sorry for the bad picture in its new slab.
New addition to my Buffalo Nickel Error and Variety collection and always looking for more. The coins I have so far are. 1916 DDO (2 including this one) 1918/7 D, 1935 DDR, 1936 off center, 1936 D 3 1/2 leg, 1937 D 3 leg and a Double Struck Buffalo.
Looks to be AU. The eye appeal isn't that good for such a high grade coin. Collectors looking for luster will shy away from it. Others it doesn't bother them. Just my opinion.
