G 1828-P N-10 cent, small wide date, $35.59 shipped XF 1838-P N-? cent, (coin not in hand yet) $19.65 shipped F details 1840-P cent, N-2 Sm. date over Lg. date, $37.80 shipped F 1851-P N-3 cent, 51 over 81, $33.98 shipped F details 1877-P cent, ~$80 shipped |

Can you provide large, clear, cropped images of the whole coin, both obverse and reverse? If you do, we would be able to tell for certain as the designer's initials were added to the base of Lincoln's bust in 1918. I concur, this appears to be a heavily corroded 1919-S cent. The coin appears to have been cleaned as well. Fortunately in this case the coin carries no numismatic value, but cleaning a coin is heavily frowned upon within the hobby, since cleaning a coin destroys its original surface and greatly reduces it's numismatic value. Never clean a coin! |
