I have an 1953 no mint mark silver penny. It is a little magnetic and weighs 3.3grams. Any thoughts on why it is silver? The cion looks way better then the pics. So shinny.

I inherited my dads coin collection who inherited from his father.I found this 1944P nickel with something on the back of the coin. is this a die break or a piece of scrap that fell on the coin during stamping? what ever it is ,it is the same material as the coin. can someone help me with this?
