I agree with the above damage but that "cat or dog hair" does not add value

Looking at the examples in that spread the 5 with 3 also matches better than the one with the 2

I have about $12 in coins like this and even worse. I save them and damaged bills till I have a good amount and trade them in. Like puppy attacked $20's or even lawnmower shredded $50 (found it walking my dog)

I enjoy showing up with them in separate sandwich bags and asking for customers service.

If the light to take the picture was diffused wax paper between coin and light the glare takes away from the images.

I know I keep ones like this if anything it is odd and it won't eat much.

I can only comment on the photo quality might be of help.

When you use a harsh light a piece of wax paper to diffuse the light or in sunlight.

I drive myself crazy sometimes seeing images like these when I am searching through coins. I made a stand out of a coat hanger to help take straight level focused pictures.

The obverse picture has doubling from a slight angle and harsh light.

I attached one to show what even a really cheap phone does with a small amount of prep

It looks like a couple I found. I think mine have just transfer from the sheets being stacked.

Your thread helps me with a question I had.

I agree the diamond is not perfect. I only shared it cause it looks like the same ink as the face plate number. It is not a random smudge.

I was not sure if was an actual detail normally printed.

It would be helpful to take pictures of the complete note. Plus tell us what you believe makes it interesting.

Steve Tampa do you disagree with it being a "perfect diamond" or that it is unusual.

If you magnify it you can see that it is not filled in solid.

Yes it is minor but as many that collect know irregularities and errors are interesting to understand understand.

I know like many oddities I find they may have no extra value but it is nice to understand how they happen
