1877 Indian Head Cent - Real Or Fake?

Thanks for all your comments. I suspected as much. I bought it from an estate auction online, I won't mention the platform, but it was an absolute auction with no reserve and no returns. I lowballed it just to get the bidding started and won. For $50? I thought something was up. I can see the tells very well in the side by side comparison.

I bought this 1877 Indian Head Cent from an estate auction online a few weeks back. After doing some research, I'm thinking this coin might be a fake. What do you guys think?

I found this dime in circulation this week and noticed that some letters were missing on the reverse. Is this worth hanging on to?

I don't know why these SMS Kennedy's didn't come back as SP 66 instead of MS 66. You would think the grading company would know the difference.

1972-D Kennedy Half Dollar - Is This A No FG?

It hasn't been cleaned since I've had possession of it, which has been about 25 years. But it was well circulated. The criteria for qualifying as a No FG half seem to be very vague. How do you know if it is or if it isn't? Was there a die that actually had the FG missing on it when it was made? Or were the initials polished away in all cases?

I found this dime the other day and noticed it looked strange with the naked eye. Looking closer under a scope, it appears to have some sort of doubling on the front and the back. I see it best in "United States of America" and in "Liberty". Also looks like a double ring in the edge between the 9:00 O'Clock and 3:00 O'Clock positions on the front and back. Is all of this MD?

IMO. MS60. Wear visible along Kennedy's hair line and on the shield and tail feathers of the eagle.

I'm leaning more towards AU-50 range. It has quite a few bag marks and signs of wear on the ear, cheekbone, and the hair.

That's weird. I've seen rolls of them here in SC. Both P and D, but mostly P.
