Hi. I have 2 $100 dollar bills. One of them has a small round blue stamp with a number in the center. The stamp is located in the lower right corner of the reverse. The other bill has a small round red stamp which may be initials, hard to make out, in the lower left corner of the reverse. Can anyone tell me what these stamps were for? Thank you.
Hi Coop. What about the excess metal that is down around the "In God We Trust"? If someone struck the edge of a coin onto the dime, would it leave that extra metal behind?
Hi. I found a 1967 Roosevelt dime with "track marks" on the obverse starting at Roosevelt's ear. I am thinking that this is PMD, but the "tracks" are raised, and not like a gouge. Thoughts? As always, I appreciate your input. I am attaching two pics for examination. Thank you.
Hi. I have found a 1953 penny that is an odd color. From what I can tell under magnification, the penny does not appear to be painted. Has anyone ever seen this coloring before?
If you closely look at the "IN" of "IN GOD WE TRUST" to me, there appears to be indents coming down from the top of each letter. Almost as if the die moved and scraped the planchet before the final impression was completed.
I have a 1987 penny, no mint mark. It appears to have two edges in the upper left obverse. Also in "IN" in IN GOD WE TRUST appears to be doubled. Any thoughts. All will be appreciated. I apologize for the quality of the photo. I took it using my phone. Thank you.
Hi. I have had this penny fot quite some time. It has a green tint to it. And it weights slightly less than a normal colored penny. Any thoughts? Is it just normal oxidation? Thank you.
Hi. I have some coins that were handed down to me, and I am having difficulty finding any information on them. The first one is a 1924 wheat penny that is missing the section above Lincoln's head. Can some one tell me if this is a minting error? Or if it could have been intentional?
The next is a 1982 and 1983 penny that is missing the E in E Pluribus Unum.I have a couple of these. Your input is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
